The Church of the Holy Saviour (Sveti Spas) was built partly below ground level, as Ottoman rules did not allow churches to rise above mosques. Inside is a spectacular carved walnut iconostasis, completed in the 1820s by master carvers from the Debar region. A small fee is charged.
