About Trains
Domestic trains run from Skopje to towns including Veles, Bitola, Kičevo and Gevgelija. They are slow but cheap and pass through fine scenery. International passenger trains to Belgrade, Thessaloniki and Pristina have been suspended since 2020; plans to restore them have been discussed but not confirmed. Check the current timetable before you travel.
