About Corridor VIII railway

For the first time, a railway is being built east from Skopje’s region towards Sofia, part of the pan-European Corridor VIII. The first section, from Kumanovo to Beljakovce, is in service; on the second, from Beljakovce to Kriva Palanka, all 16 tunnels have been broken through, with completion planned for 2028; and the works for the final section to the Bulgarian border have gone to tender, with financing agreements signed. The European Union supports the project as part of its Global Gateway programme.

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Corridor VIII railway before you go.
