About Getting to Tetovo
Tetovo lies about 45 km west of Skopje on the motorway towards Gostivar. Driving takes around an hour; intercity buses leave from the Skopje Transport Centre (check times at the station), and many visitors combine Tetovo with a drive up to Popova Šapka by car or taxi. Our advice: go in the morning, see the Painted Mosque and the tekke, and have lunch in town.
