The Arabati Baba Tekke is a Bektashi Sufi lodge founded in the 16th century, a walled complex of prayer rooms, dining halls, lodgings and gardens, with a marble fountain sheltered by a wooden pavilion. It is about ten minutes’ walk from the Painted Mosque and much quieter. Our advice: walk respectfully and ask before photographing people.
