A 1974 theatre, renewed

About Albanian Theatre

The Albanian Theatre works in a building that opened in 1974 as the Theatre of Nationalities and has since been renovated and modernised. Its main auditorium seats 350, and the house also hosts the International Theatre Festival Skupi. The building is a striking piece of the post-earthquake city. Our advice: see the building from outside on a walk along the Vardar, and check the programme for festival weeks.

Why it's on our list

  • Albanian-language drama
  • 350-seat main hall
  • Home of the Skupi festival

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Albanian Theatre before you go.
